  • New churches take the gospel to new or lost places.   In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus commissioned His followers to go out into the whole world and make disciples.  In the New Testament we see this modeled for us by the apostles.  They would arrive in a town convert some and a new church would be born.
  • Starting new churches has been proven to be the most effective way to reach pre-christian people.  It is the same strategy that the apostles used almost 2000 years ago.  We believe that a large part of this is due to the “new” factor. New things get more attention.  New things draw people.  People who might not ever grace the door way of an established church will come to a new church - just to check it out.
  • Planting new churches is the quickest and most effective way to spread the gospel.  We are planting with a goal of reproduction, both for the new church and for new churches we will help start.  We are a part of the Baltimore Washington church planting network this network plants a new church every year!
  • There is a desperate need for relevant and growing churches.  In 1900, there were 28 churches for every 10,000 Americans.  In 2004, there were only 11 churches for every 10,000 Americans.  We need more churches!
  • Statistics show that over the past 16 years church attendance on a whole in America has decreased from 20.4% to 17.5%.
